The active substance of Veteglan is d-Cloprostenol. D-cloprostenol is a synthetic analogue of the prostaglandin hormone indicated for reproductive treatments; induction of labor, synchronization and induction of heat, induction of abortion, treatment of the persistent corpus luteum, among others. Veteglan Dosage And Administration

Dose *1.00 ml / animal

In cows, 2 mL/cow intramuscular injection is labelled for synchronisation or induction of oestrus, induction of parturition after day 270 of gestation, treatment of ovarian dysfunction (persistent corpus luteum, luteal cyst), treatment of clinical endometritis with the presence of a functional corpus luteum and pyometra, induction of abortion up to day 150 of gestation, expulsion of mummified foetuses, delayed uterine involution, and therapy for the treatment of ovarian cysts (9-14 days after initial administration of GnRH or analogue).

 

In sows, 1 mL/sow intramuscular injection is labelled for induction of parturition after day 114 of gestation. In mares, 1 mL/mare intramuscular injection is labelled for induction of luteolysis in mares with a functional corpus

 

Veteglan Injection Contraindications

• Gestant animals in which abortion or delivery is not wished to induce
• Gastrointestinal diseases
• Respiratory diseases
• Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance / s or any excipient.

 

Veteglan 20ml Precautions:

Do not administer the product to pregnant females.

If the product accidentally comes into contact with the skin, wash immediately with plenty of running water.

Veteglan can be absorbed through the skin, so it should not be handled by pregnant women.

Type F2 prostaglandins can cause bronchial spasm in humans.

If the product is accidentally inhaled, a fast-acting bronchodilator such as isoprenaline or salbutanol should be administered immediately.
