Leptavoid-H

Leptavoid-H vaccine for cattle that protects against leptospirosis. It is specifically designed to protect against Leptospira interrogans serovar hardjo (hardjo Prajitno) and L. borgpetersenii serovar hardjo (hardjo Bovis). Covexin 10

 

Leptavoid-H Indication

Leptavoid-H is an injectable vaccine that protects beef and dairy cattle against both strains of leptospiia hardjo, Leptospira interrogans serovar hardjo.

Bovilis Leptavoid-H provide protection against? For the active immunisation of cattle from 1 month of age against Leptospira interrogans serovar Hardjo and Leptospira borgpetersenii serovar Hardjo. To reduce shedding of Leptospira interrogans serovar Hardjo in urine.

Dosage And Administration:

-The recommended dose is 2 ml of Leptavoid-H given subcutaneously in two injections, with an interval of 4 weeks between doses.

-The vaccine can be administered to cattle of all ages, including pregnant and lactating cows.

-The vaccine should not be administered within two weeks of breeding.

-The vaccine should be administered in a loose area of skin, such as the chest wall or side of the neck. Anabolin Forte

-The vaccine should be shaken well before use.

 

Leptavoid-H 50ml Side effects:

-Some cattle may experience mild side effects after vaccination, such as a slight fever, swelling or lumps at the injection site, and lethargy.

-These side effects are usually temporary and will resolve on their own within a few weeks.

-In rare cases, some cattle may experience more serious side effects, such as an allergic reaction.

-If you notice any severe side effects after vaccinating a cow, please contact your veterinarian immediately.

 

What are the signs of a Leptospirosis infection.

  • Reduction in milk produced
  • Abortion which can occur in the late stages of pregnancy
  • Low conception rates
  • Weak calves are born
  • High temperatures in cattle
  • Flaccid, empty udders
  • Sudden drop in yield

Vaccination with Lepatvoid-H can increase conception rates.

Another study has shown that cattle vaccinated with Leptavoid-H have a higher conception rate at first service. Herds were divided into two groups, one group was vaccinated and the other was not. The conception rate in vaccinated groups was 51% where the conception rate in the un-vaccinated group was 31 %

Storage:

-Leptavoid-H should be stored in a cold place, between 2 degrees Celsius and 8 degrees Celsius.

-The vaccine should be protected from direct sunlight.

-Do not freeze the vaccine.

 

Leptavoid-H 20ml Withdrawal period:

-There is no withdrawal period for Leptavoid-H.

-This means that cattle can be slaughtered or their milk can be sold immediately after vaccination.
