Description
Hialuronase is indicated for the treatment of joint dysfunctions due to non-infectious synovitis associated with osteoarthritis.
In tendosynovitis, joint or tendon post-surgery, post joint lavage, support for joint fracture repair.
In canines with high physical activity, with joint dysfunction, due to non-infectious synovitis associated with osteoarthritis, traumatic arthritis, rheumatic arthritis, hip dysplasia and post-traumatic orthopedic surgery.
DOSAGE:
Canines:
1 to 25 kg of Live Weight: 10 mg per dose – 1 ml Intra-articular
Over 25kg Live Weight: 20 mg per dose – 2 ml Intra-articular
Horses:
Intraarticular:
Medium or Small Joints 2 ml (20 mg)
Large joints 4 ml (40 mg)
Strict aseptic techniques should be applied when the intra-articular injection is administered. As with any intra-articular procedure, the antisepsis of the injection site itself and the support of the animal are important.
An excess of joint fluid should be aseptically removed prior to injection. Diffuse swelling 24 to 48 hours after application may result from movement of the needle in the joint space.
INTERVAL BETWEEN DOSE:
If it is necessary to repeat its administration, allow 7 days to pass between applications in the same joint.
TREATMENT DURATION
According to clinical response. It is recommended not to exceed a total of three (3) applications for the same joint. Or according to the criteria of the acting professional.
